Our Vision: Changing the way the world does business.
BNI has a global vision to sponsor one charity member in every chapter. In BNI Sydney North East, we are proud to be part of this movement by welcoming and supporting registered charities that are making a difference in our communities.
We actively seek new members who represent qualified charitable organisations. To be eligible, organisations must:
- Be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), and
- Hold Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1) status with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
These charities receive the benefit of a BNI membership grant, which covers the application fee and annual membership fee for the first year. In our region, this grant can be renewed each year as long as the charity member remains an active, contributing participant in their chapter.
Charity members are full BNI members… expected to engage in the same training, commitments, and opportunities as any business professional in BNI. Membership includes an application process, reference checks, and an interview, and is subject to approval by the chapter’s Membership Committee.
To ensure maximum value and exposure, we accept only one charity member per chapter, even if their services do not overlap.
We encourage you to visit a local chapter to experience BNI firsthand. If you're interested, we’d be happy to connect you with current charity members for references and testimonials.
We know you believe in giving… and we believe that Givers Gain!
